Step-1
Select your object and

Go to Effect > Stylize > Feather

 Step-3

 Fill point in dialog box as per your requirement for feather.

 Step-4

Again go to Effect > Blur > Gaussian Blur

Step-5

Adjust blur as per your requirement for Edge blur.
